About the event
The Chesapeake Transitional House is a fully renovated transitional living residence dedicated exclusively to supporting women veterans as they work toward long-term stability and independence. Thoughtfully remodeled from top to bottom, the home provides a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment designed to promote healing, structure, and personal growth.
The home will provide short-term transitional housing while residents work toward permanent housing, employment, education, and financial self-sufficiency.
This women-only residence is intentionally designed to address the unique challenges faced by women veterans by offering a secure and supportive living environment. Programming and partnerships will focus on life-skills development, connection to veteran-specific resources, and pathways to independence.
Through this initiative, The Vet Way Foundation seeks to provide more than housing. The Chesapeake Transitional House will serve as a foundation for recovery, empowerment, and a fresh start for women who have served our country.
